and I teamed up -again- to make this comic for a contest of our faculty. It´s about extinctions and ecology.

English translation:
First panel:
*Dr. Zossman, Ms. Stern has arrived.
*Hello Dr. Zossman.
*Great. If you are not very tired by the trip you can come with me in my today´s sampling. You can leave your luggage and take a field probe in that base.
2nd panel:
*I have heard you have tamed local fauna to carry loads. But I never supossed they were going to be... this way.
*They are very simple and docile and do everything for a sugar cube. That jelly on their back protects them against uv radiation and microalgae growing inside it provides them with food. But the best thing is their ability to slide over rough terrain.
3rd panel:

*I´m ready.
*Good. Take this sugar bag... You will give it sometimes along the way. Don´t think I understimate you... It´s just that I´m sick of it.
*Great. Five year-career and now feeding a monster.
-Electronic multifunction field probe with computer incorporated.
4th panel:
Girl: What a desolate landscape. There´s desert everywhere.
Dr. Zossman: It seems there were a strong climate change promoted by the civilization that inhabited Neoterra. Like in our planet, they used fossil fuels. That increased the greenhouse effect and the planet overheated. Or so we think.
---It also appears that plant resources were overexploited. This and extreme weather promoted desertification.
